Its a 99 1.5lsi (D15Z6)

Picked it up years ago after selling my EM1 VTI coupe

AT the time I Wanted something good on fuel 51MPG !! :)
Four doors and an EK, & knew facelift ones were hard to come by so when this came up I was on the case! AN awesome car for everyday use.

I get petrol nippyness combined with diesel type MPG once the economy cams activate
And shut off 4 valves. Best mileage on a tank 430 miles

When I 1st picked her up

After having kids I didn't have time for modding etc
& it felt good to drive a car I didn't care about too much....
But the modding bug came back.. A little.

So I pulled some old 14" rims out of he shed from my 1st civic back in 2004
And put them on.

This car was / is a pure daily driver / family car so no crazy mods were planned

:(

Thought I'd see how the difference in weight of the wheels before putting them on.

Lets see how much of a difference they'll make over the steel 14"s ?

14.6kg

14.0kg

Before :

After:

The 14's made a big difference to the cars acceleration. It was extremely nippy
& accelerated easily when needed.

Took her down to South Mimms Honda meet

After a year or so I got bored of how she looked
& thought hey.... She's been a good girl to the family
Why not treat her to some goodies

Picked up the VTI fan blades off eBay & was happy to find that they appeared to be in very very good condition. THey were heavier than the 14s but looked good & helped keep the car stable at higher speeds.

As & when I had time I slowly got to get her to my standard of clean.
My aim was to have her looking factory fresh

About 7 months after acquiring a few goodies I was itching to get them on the car.
But 1st I picked up some new 50/50 style rear lights to clean up the rear end.
They made a big difference.

Did the prep work on the parts

Wetsanding the grill for the primer to adhere to nicely.

1st time spraying something something of this size, turned out better than I expected.
After a Few more little touches they were ready to go on.

After a year or so I got bored & decided I should get the grill put on.

And that's how she stands in 2014

Not got any plans for her. Would love to get her lowered but that wouldn't be suitable for me
At all.
