Hi Guys,

I had the Brake Calipers on my Type S fully refurbished and painted in July last year and have been meaning to do a write up ever since so here it is. Better late than never I guess! :)

I have to admit that i'm a little bit picky about who I trust to work on my car so after much research I had narrowed this task down to 2 places. It was either going to be "Bigg Red" or "Brake Caliper Specialists". Ideally I just wanted to be able to drop my car off, have the calipers removed, refurbished and painted and then refitted which the later were able to do.

After a phone call with Richard Munt (The Company Director of Brake Caliper Specialists) I was invited to go and take a look at their current projects to get an idea of the quality of their work and was really impressed. They also offered to fit my new Brake Discs & Pads and renew the Brake Fluid at the same time free of charge. (Using my supplied MTEC Discs, Ferodo Pads & MOTUL Brake Fluid). After some negotiating I was offered a very good price so decided to take the plunge and book my car in.

I've owned previous cars that have suffered from seized brake calipers so to help prevent this from happening again I opted for the full caliper refurbishment service which includes shot blasting, replacement of all the rubber seals, valves, clips, pins etc and comes with 3 years warranty.

After dropping my car off to have this work completed, I was offered a lift back to the local railway station. They only required the car for a few days to complete the work which was really good considering how busy they were at the time. Upon collection I was really pleased with the result and decided that some Le Mans alloys would finish it off nicely!

I would definitely use these again and recommend anyone who is considering getting their Brake Calipers Painted, Repaired or Refurbished to contact these guys.
