Hi Folks!
I have been on this forum for a wee while now just haven't gotten round to creating a thread for my car yet!
After buying my car I asked around about what is the best Civic owners forum and was pointed towards this one by a friend.
This is probably one of the most useful and helpful car forum's that I have been a member of and I just want to say thanks to everyone involved in it as the guides etc and general banter is great [smilie=gt-happyup.:

Enough waffling now!
I bought the car after making the terrible mistake of going French after selling my MK4 Golf GT Tdi (which I still regret now!) and buying a Renault Megane 225 Sport. I had countless problems with her and she acquired an unsavory nickname because of it!

The Civic when I first bought her...

I have had the car nearly a year now, progress has been slow but that has mainly been due to time etc!

So far I have added Heko Wind Deflectors...

And RickHondaR's footwell kit...

Future mods that i'm planning for are:
MrJp's complete headlight upgrade,
Tint the rear windows,
Stage 1 map,
Front Mount Intercooler,
Bigger better brakes,
New Exhaust,
Coilovers,
and some new wheels.

I'm not too sure what to purchase/look for in terms of the exhaust, brakes and wheels as I'm new to the Civic scene.
Alloys I'm not sure whether to go for something like Team Dynamics Pro Race 2's or some deep dish lovelies to fill the massive gaps in the arches!

But I also have the idea of making a sleeper and keeping the car looking as stock as possible but these are all in the clouds atm!

I hope you like the car and I'm welcome to any new ideas or improvements that you guys can think of!

Are you still on the standard Honda clutch? If so, a remap will soon overload it so factor in an uprated replacement. #beenthere

Cheers for all the positive comments chaps looking forward to getting to know guys from this forum and hopefully attending some events :)

Got a good list of mods planned there bud, can't help but notice a front mount being one of them. Got a group buy going and you could be lucky number 5 ;)

That's such a good price! I have to get a full service done first before doing anything else so I'm hoping that this is still available once I've had the car serviced [smilie=gt-happyup.:

I am atm, tbh I was gonna get the remap and then just run the standard clutch till she dies lol. What would you or others recommend as A good upgrade?
Like I said I'm a complete noob to this scene and haven't the foggiest :(

Celtic (for one example) will only give you a stage 1 remap if your car has a standard clutch. Stage 1 is a huge boost up from standard mind you and well worth it.

Have a look at the project threads for ideas and see what you like or your budget allows

Been searching for alloys literally all day today, been looking for something a bit different to the norm and would like you guys to give me an opinion on these? OR if you could offer your own opinions or suggestions into something similar :)

Cheers folks!

Tbh I was gonna go for a Stage 1 and run it on the standard clutch till it gives up and then upgrade the clutch to something able to run higher stage remaps in the future :)

You will need self control to drive around a failing clutch. Although if its like mine then the clutch may be okay for a few weeks and then start slipping again, due to the self adjuster.

Thanks, although I've only really worked on getting her 100% healthy thus far. I have a few upgrades planned that should improve her looks.

The clutch seems pretty good to me with very very minimal slip but that is only very occasionally if I need to put my foot down but tbh I'm not a heavy footed driver and it has only slipped maybe twice in my ownership so far. Should still have some life in it "touchwood".

Little update!

After thinking about it for hours and then actually seeing a Civic in Northern Ireland whilst on Holiday I was put off the wheels I posted up after seeing Vintage Calibre's on a 5DR which like some have said looked too busy. The guy who owned the car had them in 19" but they still didn't look right.

So after much thought I have ordered these little beauties and should have them by Monday :)

AXE CS Lite's in 18" form :D So the car will definitely getting lowered ASAP lol.

Hope you peeps approve (Y)
