I currently have 17'' momo ten-s on which i'm assuming are 7'' wide with et42,(looked up the standard size sent out for 8th gen civic).

I'm looking to get a set of alloys which are 19'' 9.5'' wide and et35, but that would mean the wheels are 25mm extra on the inside and 39mm extra on the out.

I'm thinking that i might get away with 39mm extra outside but maybe not enough clearance for 25mm extra inside, and if i got spacers then i'm adding to the 39mm outside .

anyone ever fitted 9.5'' to their civic ?

As above.

You'll have big problems with 39mm outside too as they will be sitting well outside the arches which is illegal. (Unless you're thinking of extending your arches)

thanks for all your advice.
scrap that idea then, don't fancy messing around with camber.
would i need spacers for 8.5'' et40 or would they go straight on.

I'm running 18x8.5 ET48 and they fit flush with the arches but don't scrape. ET40 might be pushing it a bit. I'm running -1.5*camber, too.

EDIT:

Saying that, doesn't the 2.2 have a narrower track..? 10mm either side IIRC. If so you should be ok

Nah it's a 5dr, should be fine. It is 10mm I just double checked.

Thanks for the info. so no problems with clearance on the inside then, just slightly pushing it on the face.
did you put camber on to pull them in, or could you get away with it ?

right so i've got an extra 10mm at the rear, but the fronts are the same.
did you need camber on the fronts too or just the rear

Ah yeah that's it, it's just the rear end that's different, I remember now. I don't know if you need the camber, it's just that I had it before I swapped the rims. It will help with the front wheel clearance.

If yours has the same front end track as mine, ET40 with 18x8.5 will be pushing it, especially without FRS. Rear should be fine though.
