Evenin. Joined on here tonight after buying my 1st civic.
It's a 9G diesel sport and I'm after buying some new mats before I go pick it up next weekend. Can anyone suggest anywhere that they have bought theirs from that are of decent quality? I have read the genuine honda ones ain't brilliant.
THANKS guys and gals ?

Just make sure they are anchored because they can easily slip up the accelerator and cover the brake pedal if not.

Happened to me when Honda Ruislip didn't anchor mine when I collected my Sep 2009 8G. Fortunately it was still in their car park and I stopped on the handbrake.

If it had been a 10G with unfamiliar buttons instead of the century old well proven lever there would have been 2 dented cars.

I bought some rubber mats from here https://www.carmats-uk.com/cm/honda/civic 2 years ago, not bad for the money. I think you will find that the mats are different for diesel Civics, and this website gives the spacing between fixings which may vary. My ones fitted perfectly , and were exactly the same size as the Honda carpet mats I have. Carpet in the summer, rubber in the winter!

if you have a 1.6 diesel, pre-2016 ones has wider anker gap on the passenger side to cater for the priming mechanism, so needs special mats made for 1.6 diesel.

If that is post 2016 (EU6 ones), then I believe petrol ones will work just fine.

Back to the topic - I bought OEM floor mats, they are more expensive (around 60), but it didn't feel as premium as I hoped. Since I don't have anything to compare against, I am not sure if they are any better than the premium after market mats. I can only say it is definitely better than the cheapest aftermarket ones.

Cheers everyone for your suggestions, much appreciated. The site mine are from involves a reg check and they proved suitable. They are £11.95 and come with clips, so if anything it ain't cost me loads. Il post how they are when I get them....and the car !

I'm using new OEM ones...haven't had a problem with them. Pricey though
i was surprised the OEM set has no extra padding for driver mat, where you get more wear close to the paddle.

But you can buy just the driver side matt, which is good I suppose.
