Ok guys,

We are going to have another choice of Cams for our Hondas.

From some point, this 2012, Tomei will enter the Honda Camshaft market with new cams.

Quite interested in what they will come up with, specialy after what Superior Valve Motion (SVM) is just about to offer... :popcorn2:

We will also have a camshaft available for testing within weeks.
Our criteria was to have a true drop in cam which will run on stock valvetrain but be suitable for NA and supercharged applications with extended duration.
Planning on filling the gap between JDM and Toda A3/IPS K2s

We will release more information when we have the prototype profiles available and installed. :)

Target will be to better the JDMs and I will run trials on a car with stock, JDM and possibly even the Skunk2 stage1s but they do require valvesprings.

Price we are aiming at same as the JDM cams.

We really are aiming at the ease of fitting to keep the install costs to a minimum as all the decent power making cams require valvesprings which increases install costs by about £700+

Basically the price went up on the JDM cams which put them out of reach for many when you consider the gains. For the money they are going for now you can buy "hotter" cams with valvesprings packages but you still have the added install costs.

Looking forward to a TDI DIC! Are you going to be using a cast, billet or tool steel core for these??

Looking forward to this and hopefully a test against Drag Cartel DIC's if possible.
Hey now that is a good idea. Will have a word with an owner who is in for a full tune shortly with a set of these and see if he is up for it. If they are regarded as being one of the best for "peak" numbers it would be a good comparison.

Prefer to try it on a "stock" and then "JDM" then "Toda A3" car though but for the time needed to cover all the bases would take weeks.

pulpmelon_r - Not sure what the cores are but will be similar to the ones they are currently doing for other high rpm applications. This is Neil's baby as he used to get them custom made when he was at Radical so its via a few of his old contacts.

On your motor BRM??

Whats the spec and what cam you going for
Yes,

I was interested in the 312s (stage 3), but was "advised" to go with the 212s (stage 2).

Specs:

Intake High Speed Lobe
Seat duration= 302 @ .014″
.050″ duration=264.2 degrees
Gross valve lift=.540″

Exhaust High Speed Lobe
Seat duration = 295 degrees at .014″
.050″ duration = 253.1 degrees
Gross valve lift = .475″

Low speed intake
Seat duration=258 @ .014″
.050″ duration=215.9
Gross valve lift=.382″

Low speed exhaust
Seat duration=250 @ .014″
.050″ duration=207.4
Gross valve lift=.330″
