Hey guys!
So I'm a 24 year old lass living between London and Leeds...
I've had my lovely car since March and really clocked up the miles in it... Really fallen in love with it!
I've become a bit fed up with looking at other 8th Gens and wondering why they look so much better than mine.
So it starts now, small cheap mods while I save for bigger bits

Anyone got any advice on where to start?

Thanks! Looking forward to all the CivInfo I cN soak up!!

hello and welcome :)
put a pic up and we can offer help where we can. I started off with the same view of my fat little 2.2 and have changed it a great deal - have a look at the thread in my sig - it might give you some ideas of what can be done.....

have fun with your car and enjoy it, that's the main thing :)

Ok I'm on my phone and I can't actually work out how to put pictures up... Any help please?
I've got xenon headlights , which I love but I was thinking about starting with changing the alloy caps, and the headlight cleaner covers, also the badge on the steering wheel and the internal lights..?
Then might move onto bumpers. But not got the omoney ATM :(

do you have an account on a site that you can upload photos to, such as photobucket? If you do, you can put them up there and then add the link to the posts you make on here...

looks really nice IMHO. if it were mine the first thing I'd do is replace the rear indicators for clear ones. Makes it look more modern (see my link for where I did it to mine). It looks a really nice dark blue, is that the case?

Yeah it's dark blue, kinda wish I had an orange one but the blue does always surprise me in certain light :)
I'm so excited about getting started, I think when I give it a clean and detail today I'll really think about which changes to make first!
My friend just mentioned about the nasty grey trim all around too....
Anyone any ideas what the best way is to get rid of this??
Thanks!

You can replace it all with colour coded trim, but it does get expensive (especially in a rare couloir like yours). That's what I did to mine (see thread). You might end up having to buy parts and getting them sprayed. Check on eBay for anyone breaking a car in your colour and try to do a deal on the whole lot. It certainly would make your car look amazing, but it is not a cheap mod.....

You could also look for the facelift trim 09+. It is painted dark metallic silver, looks much better and may cost alot less as it is common. Never liked the grey plastic myself and made me go for a facelift version. I've been tempted to so the Type R trim conversion but i do like the two tone look.
You could pick up a facelift front grille for a good price.
But then wash, clay, polish and good wax will already make it stand out from the crowd.

Buy some bigger wheels, 18's make a massive difference.

Always some available in the for sale threads (like the ones I have available).:D
