Picked up my 59 plate Type S last week. Love it so far. Traded in my silver EP3 which I'll miss but I bought a place with the mrs so I needed something which drank a bit less fuel!

Thanks for the warm welcome. It's a petrol one. I don't do enough miles a year to get a diesel, but I had a diesel before my EP3 and I miss the low down pull! I stay worryingly close to my work to need a diesel though haha

As an update to this thread....

The Type S went in 2014 and I had a Golf GTI PP

The Golf was great but it was missing something that I couldn't quite place

I had it until earlier this year. Then couldn't turn down this when I spied it on Autotrader:

I love the FN2. Not quite the same ride comfort as the Golf, but when you wring its neck, it's so much more fun!
