Hi

Always been a one for replacing tyres with whatever came on the car as standard, so in my case 225/40 R18 Y88 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A on the R. However you all know they aren't cheap so what would be good alternatives that others have tried on the 'R'?

I've seen the falken fk452 thread (not sure I want more noise) are those an ideal choice, surely you get what you pay for?

After looking around at some tyres does it matter id you have the 92 rating instead of factory 88? Also does it matter if you have XL tyres?

edit... its the fronts I'm changing so still the original on the back for some time

Cheers

Hi mate,

I've just looked into tyres for my rages for the past week or so. I have yokohoma advance sports on at the minute.

I narrowed my preference down to 2 tyres.

Uniroyal rainsport 2
Goodyear Eagle F1

I ended up going for the Goodyear tyres.

in my thread just below this one you can see what tyres I looked at.
