Hi guys,
just joined up as im looking at getting an FN2 type R in a few months time. will be a nice step up from my current fiesta mk7 zetec-s
any tips on what to look out for when buying one (apart from the usual service history and the like), will be getting one from a dealer

ive looked at a few already but need to save for a deposit first. first one i sat in, i knew i wanted one, just such a nice place to sit. even my old man likes them and he's 50! lol

Hi Kev and Welcome. I know what you mean about sitting in the FN2 and wanting one the same happened to me Out of all the makes out there it just felt right for me good luck on your search for your car.

A few things to check would be paint work (Stone Chips)as you may or may not be aware paint work isn't a strong point.

If you check the wiki along with the Bugs, faults and irritations section you should have a good idea on what to look out for.

stone chips aside, condition of the paintwork would'nt be of huge concern as i detail cars most weekends so i'd spend some time getting it how i want it, although perfection would'nt be worth it as it'll be used every day
