Afternoon all, sorry this is my first post just need some advice, I had my 2007 fn2 type r bare metal resprayed a few months ago as was looking a bit tatty and was thinking about selling it but tbh looks so nice now I’m going to keep it, the car sat there for a few months whilst he done the bodywork and the battery died so had a new one fitted after the work was done BUT now I can’t get any sound out of speakers, I’ve even tried a secondhand radio but nothing, shows all stations, and vol goes up and down everything works apart from noise lol, I have no amp in there it’s completely standard any ideas please as the hammer 🔨 will be out shortly thanks John

any chance the wiring harness was disconnected at the doors and rear panels and not reconnected properly?

daft question but have you checked the settings for the fade & balance etc if the HU is the standard one.

Cheers for the reply, that’s the next thing I’m going to check tomorrow is the wires I’m pretty sure he didn’t take the doors or anything else off, and yes I’ve tried adjusting the balance and fade but made no difference. Would love to buy a double din ect but could have same problem

One benefit of fitting a 3rd party, you could 4 channel bridgeable amp/wire replacements speakers and wiring into that and run RCA to back of 3rd party headunit n ignition feed. While using iso harness for compatibility on the head unit selected.

Connects2 will have a full kit keeping wheel controls.

Carplay or android auto with GPS n screen mirroring is then an option

Cheers for the info now I’m keeping car that’s the next big buy want something that I can take calls through finally managed to get the factory system working we’re some right dodgy connections so have all been soldered and a half decent pair of pioneer speakers in front and sounds half decent found out both front tweeters were blown so have a new set ordered least I know how to take centre console and radio out so shouldn’t be a too bad job next time 👍👍

Sounds stupid but have you tried the talk button on the steering wheel. I did this the other morning. You get no audio at all.
