Outside of East Anglia seems to have quality places to get mods done professionally. (CPL/ABP etc) but I don't know of anywhere local...

Firstly, is there anyone on here from or near Norwich? if so, where is the best places to take our Type R when we want some engine mods done? I've gone to regular garages in the past with old motors and they've done what I'd class as bodge jobs, so I'd need a highly recomended place please :)

Best 2 places for Honda tuning is CPL and TDi North.
Both only deal with Hondas and both are Hondata dealers and can supply, fit and tune your car on in-house rolling roads.

Hi mate, i live in the Norwich area and i have travelled to ABP in Crew as they are a superb service. Will also be going th CPL racing to have a Hondata Flash pro mapping session done on the dyno.
If you want the best for your type r you will have to go a far for it!:)

I'd love to travel out there and see a specialist place but my only issue is, if they cant do it in a day, I would be stuck 100's of miles from home.

What did you get done from there and how quick were they? more importantly is it noticable enough gains to warrant the long journey?

Well, when I last got some stuff done at our local SCA Rally it took them hour(s) to fit an induction kit to my old car, the same old car it took power and performance a whole day to do my exhaust (they let me drive away with a horrible mondeo which everyone looked at for the wrong reasons) so I guess I have been scarred with bad waiting times (and unfortunately wasnt impressed with either company)

I'd want the milltek exhaust system done, GruppeM with the scoopin which I cant imagine is easy as they have to take off the front bumper and then flashpro installed and put on the rolling road, the flashpro would be another time and from what i heard, you have to travel to a specialist place for that to be set up for you anyway?

This is why people travel to specialists then.
2.5 hours to fit an exhaust and gruppeM and rest of time to tune. No issues there.

You won't get the scoop to fit GM though without some major hacking.

I've driven to Crewe to see have ABP do some work on the Civic. Great peeps, but took them two attempts to get my car right. Long drive to get an issue fixed when (as always) it should have been right first time.

Don't know about CPL and TDI but both have good reps with Hondas.

As for Gary at APT, Nissan Skyline & Mitsi Evo owners travel across the UK to see him...

So I think it's horses for courses.
