Hi

I was wondering what the symptoms of a clutch on its way out are?

I'm experiencing very notchy gear changes and especially in 1st, revving hard into vtec trying to get into 2nd is virtually impossible, it doesn't slot in, it's a little smoother at slower speeds.

Occasionally it would grind into 2nd or 3rd

I was thinking could this be a gear selector/linkage issue rather than a clutch?

Gearbox oil was only changed about 30k ago apparently.

I'll give you 2k for the whole car mate. As for gear selection, could be clutch on its way out, master cylinder or slave cylinder worn. Best change the gearbox oil and see if that helps.

lol why you offering me money? The garage said I need a new clutch, but I've been reading signs of clutch are more slipping issues and I don't have that

Is there any difference with OEM and the exedy OEM stuff

Surely changing clutch is cheaper than a whole gearbox? do you own a garage in Yorkshire area?

Do you know what gearbox oil was put in it last? Also, any crunching on high RPM gear changes, up or down the gears?
