Starting to collect some bits and pieces, so thought I'd start a thread to catalogue it all.

This won't be the most unique FN2 in the world, but I plan to keep it subtle and classy, I'll primarily be making aesthetic modifications as I don't plan on owning this car beyond the warranty window - but if I still love it as much in 18months as I do right now... well, who knows!

First off, out with the old:

2010 (10 plate) 1.8 Petrol CTS. Bought in June/July this year and traded in for my FN2 at the end of September.

Here's the FN2 the first weekend of owning it after a good wash, clay, polish and wax:

Totally standard, it has LSD, HIDs and iPod connectivity. No Sat Nav - that's my phones job!

Then up pops a for sale ad by chan267 on these very forums - and I take arrival of these:

Gave the Calipers a bit of a fresh look, again keeping it subtle - but painting the lettering is REALLY tempting me:

I've got a handful more bits and pieces due to arrive between now and christmas, so some wee updates to come - but the big plans for 2012 are some new wheels and some nice grooved or drilled disks to sit behind them

If you want to see what the calipers look like with the letters painted check my build thread, just make sure you give yourself plenty of time and a very small brush.

Some odds and ends between now and the new year, some engine bay bling, maybe a set of wind deflectors and a Type R grill badge.

In the new year, I need to get on top of some funding for our Orlando holiday in July - and once that's taken care of it'll be a set of new wheels and perhaps suspension - though I'm remaining cautious of warranty for the time being.

Yeah Indeed. Bumper will be coming off again in the new year so I can sort my fog tints out, so I'll be getting a bit of rust treatment out just for piece of mind.

haha, yeah the temperature has been pretty good this morning 12 deg+. I spent the morning cleaning the car as well

Slack on updates, though got a cold bum last weekend and painted my calipers properly

Also sent the car off to the bodyshop to have some scuffs sorted on my rear GP splitter so that's now looking all nice and sorted.

I've decided that the Eibach springs and FRS are now a must, the reports and opinions on this site are hard to ignore - so I'll think about a road trip to TDI-N at somepoint to get this work done. It's a bit of a trek, but if I save up some pennies I may be able to justify Flashpro and a custom map too...
