Hi guys,

Long story short I had an argument with a curb in late December.

Broke the wishbone, arch and other bits, but basically I've had it all
fixed by probably the best garage round my area. Proper top guys,
do everything like they should. Anything but con-men.

But when the guy took it for a test drive he said was there a weird
noise before I crashed it. To which I obviously said no.

Upon getting the car back, I took it for a drive myself and noticed
the noise was coming from the engine bay.

Basically, when on idle and pulling away, there's a weird noise that
sounds like its wearing. Comes on and off intermittently, has no basic
pattern and yet doesn't effect the way the car drives, feels or performs.

Engine performance is as I remember, revs are fine; it's just a very
weird noise. It's not overly loud, but you can hear it when you're stopped
and if you lift the bonnet you can hear it clearer.

Few of my mates reckon it could be a pulley that has come loose, but
I'm yet to give it to a professional.

Any ideas as to what it could be?

Lee

Like a wearing noise. It's odd lmao. Hard to describe really. Wasn't there pre-crash!
