Bit of a common issue unfortunately, usually when it's screwed in when hot.

If the bottom isn't there it's probably down in the head. I would defintely NOT start the car, fortunately it's not too hard to remove the rocker cover to retrieve it.

Just need a couple of tools and some hondabond.

Hope you get it all out.

This is why a better oil cap is actually a worthwhile mod for K20 engined cars.

Also, is a common issue , that oil is coming out a little bit anyway?
I mean i can see in mine, that around the cap there is always some oil.
Although the rubber of the cap is ok...

First thing I bought as same happened in my derv when I was miles from home.

Cheap ebay ones work but found my old one seeped ever so slightly over several hundred miles. Looked more like residue really.

Good to hear, try to not tighten the cap when it's pretty hot as they stick fast. The metal ones are not so bad.

You may find on some metal ones that they seep oil, that's fine as it's a kind of used as a breather but the metal can do it moreso... (source: tdi) ;)

Oh and the metal ones get reet hot too so be careful
