Went to visit my Nan the other-day. She had a relative down from Scotland, whom I see couple of times a year. Long story short: it was time for my departure. I was parked along her long, narrow drive with my wing mirrors folded. I have a habit of folding them even-when completely unnecessary.
Her friend was standing by the passenger side, and as I said my final good-bye, she so kindly pointed out that my wing-mirror was still folded. I said "it's fine, it's automatic", completely oblivious to what I said she proceeded grab the wing-mirror and yank it into position. I could only sit and watch helplessly. I heard this rather-loud crunch and looked at her shocked face.
Fortunately nothing broke! But what an emotional day.
