Hey Guys
Havent been on here for a while so apologies if i'm in the wrong place.. but ive come for a moan
I have a Type R GT on 08 plate. Bought the car March last year from Honda Solihul. A couple weeks down the line there was a whining noise coming when i lifted the clutch up to pull away. Only very quiet but i knew it was there.
Took it back to Honda where the engineer immediately agreed that it is a fault, and requires a new Clutch.. So there goes fitted clutch number 2.. Problem solved..
3/4 months later, the noises reappears. Ring Honda.. They have the car for a day and ring me telling me its all sorted... Only to find 'Apparently the Technicians say it needs bedding in', even tho it hasnt made the noises for 4 months. But my warrenty was now due to expire..
Cut a long story short. I got Honda customer services involved who eventually agreed it was ongoing fault with 5 or 6 CTR's in the whole of Europe and a part was being developed, and will be on order..
Well 2 months down the line, today i have had a new clutch and flywheel under warrenty (even tho it has expired) Picked up the car felt great another new clutch to thrape
(joke)..
Well driving it around tonight the gears just do not feel normal. When i slide it into second it feels very spongy, then let go and the stick bounces back towards neautral for about 3 inches. This is the same in 4th and reverse. Doesnt feel right at all.
Has anyone had any similar problems or can tell me if there gears are solid when in position.. cus you know how it is you think your mind is playing games :/ Sorry for the long whinded post...
