Hey,

So I've had this problem for a while but it only happens during long journeys. After I have been driving non-stop for about 30 minutes, my orange oil warning light will come on. I have checked the oil level and that is fine, also the oil temp does not go over half way. However, when I finish the journey then get in my car to drive again, the light does not come on. My commute is about 5 minutes and I never see the light come on, its only when I am driving a longer distance.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Service and MOT due in a month.

Many thanks.

I had a similiar light come on a few months ago checked the oil which was fine , switched off the light never came back on.

Garage said it was the oil sensor but needed to drain oil to replace it, my car had only been serviced a month earlier so left it and no reappearance as yet.

Maybe worth checking out especially if you are due a service
