son has a 2006 civic es and fault code p2004 came up on the scanner.
i took the imrc valve from my civic and swapped over onto sons car.
all worked engine light out and no codes.
happy days thought we had managed to sort out.
my son ordered a new valve from honda and when we replaced it today the engine light is still on with the same fault code.
took the new valve off the car and fitted to my civic and everything is fine.
put the valve from my car onto sons car but engine light burning and fault code still reading p2004

anyone got any ideas

Hi,
Did you reset the fault code on your scanner after you replace the imrc valve? I still remember when I change the valve on mine...I reset the the fauult code.
