Just discovered in the works carpark that the paint on my bonnet is sort of blemishing/bubbling. Its a raised sort of dent. Wierd. Like something under the bonnet has pushed it up. Ive heard the paint is thin is that true? I do park in direct sunlight at work so that might not be helping. Its only a year old too.

i dont think parking it in direct sunlight would cause that to happen mate. might dull the paint over a period of time, but not cause it to bubble or blemish.

If it's a series of bubbles and no cracks can be seen in them, then it's more than likely contamination of the bonnet prior to the spraying process at Swindon.
It could be grease, spots of oil etc, which were on the bare metal .
It shouldn't happen, as Honda use a cleaning process, as the car moves to the paint plant, but the world isn't perfect I'm afraid.
It wouldn't have been the Sun, as even water based paint is tested in the most harsh conditions (Deserts).
Honda paint is thin, but capable of non blistering.
Warranty respray of the bonnet, with fading out on the adjacent panels IMO.
