I appreciate this has been a little done to death but still slightly confused... He'll appreciated ! What I can ascertain:

OEM panel filter is a good all rounder

K&N is long term cost advantage. No bhp gain but may sound a little growly :)

HSk & Do Luck are foam and may have less surface area and perform worse

BMC - seem to hear good things??

I am in a tight budget and would like a smoother changeover and pull to vtec and if a little throaty even better !!

Any experience, stats etc appreciated included experience of the BMC !

I've had to HKS Super Hybrid Filter and now just installed a Do-Luck Power Filter..think the Do-Luck is performing a little better than the HKS..but could just be me as I also have a HKS PSK :)

hks filters normally improve throttle response a bit but do get dirty quickly so will need changing regularly. I hear the ITG panel filter is very good but very expensive, about £75 i think. For now i will stay with OEM or perhaps a K&N if i see a cheap one.
