A long time ago when I was into tuning cars...
....Pi was not considered the best brand available ;)

For the 1.8.. ABP motorsport have there very own 25/30mm drop Eibachs for the FN2 which will fit the 1.8 (40/45mm drop)
The FN2 is already 10-15mm lower than standard.

In fact, I can only think of one report in here of someone in here not liking Eibachs - but that was because lowering gave him problems parking at home ...

In a word - NO - but an 'FRS' (front at least) would be a good idea, as you are changing the geometry - at least get a 4 wheel laser alignment check done ...

You need to point that question at ABP or a customer ;)
I never tried them myself.

I would think long and hard about the pros and cons of 25mm vs 40mm drop.
There is a few threads available on the forum.
I dont believe shock travel is an issue though.

Certainly, ABP (who did mine) said that the shocks were not an issue with the 25mm standard drop (15mm CTR drop) springs ...

I did have the shocks replaced at the same time (with Koni FSDs) - but they are exactly the same whether the car is dropped or not ...

I'd be hesitant about going to a 40mm drop - 25mm works just fine (better than before) over speedbumps and the like ...
