hello, i have some problems with my mirrors. One folded way too far when being in the carwash. the mirror itself faced towards the bonnet, and since then, the mirror folds inwards without any problem, but when it's folding out, it doesn't stop in the good position, but it keeps turning towards the bonnet.
In an attempt to solve this, i wanted to cut the wire the causes the mirror to fold in and out (because i don't use it anyways), but when opening the inside of the drivers door, there are a lot of cables coming together in one unit (for the heated mirrors, for folding, for opening the drivers and passengers windows) so i can't know which color is the cable for folding the mirror.

So my question can be solved in two ways (i think) :
1) can i replace or fix something inside the mirror so it stops turning when its in the right position.
2) which color has the cable that folds the mirror?

also excuse me for my bad english ;)

Problem isn't sod when it goes to far. Sounds more like problem with "stopper" inside mirror near motor. To get to "stopper" you need to deassamble hole mirror and if you newer don't I wouldn't advise to do it.

Wires for folding are white and blue but you don't need to cut them. Just unplug SOD inside mirror and it will stop folding

Okay thank you! I know the SOD isn't the problem, because the mirror keeps unfolding, so the SOD works, but like you said, the 'stop' inside the mirror is the problem, but it's probably the smartest to unplug the SOD, so thank you so much guys!!
