I have clocked up 150,000 on my 2008 Civic 2.2 ES TDI.

Just had the valve replaced on the end of the fuel rail and now my power steering has given up the ghost.

Back in August 2013 I had the first problem, called AA they got the power steering going.

In September 2013 my local garage changed the battery and said that a battery change can sometimes solve power steering issues and is much cheaper job that replacing the EPS unit.

Roll on January 2014, 75% of the time the car has a great big orange steering wheel on the display telling me the power steering has failed.

My local garage tried to do something with the sensor and told me if that didn' work I would need a new EPS unit.

Well it didn't work so now my car is in for a new EPS unit.

Anyone else had this problem ??

I think you will have a quicker response after posting in the 8th generation section...

This might sound like an obvious thing but have you read the error code via Diagnostics? May point you in the right direction?
