Problem fitting Rays Centre Caps

Hi,

I've just received some Rays centre caps to suit my 57U alloys and as stupid as this sounds I cant seem to get them to fit!

I was expecting to simply pop then into place but I cant see how they attach (see photo showing the back) the caps did come with 2 screws but theres no holes in the front of the wheel.

I'm 100% sure these are the correct caps for my wheels as the style of my wheel is 57U and these caps actually have 57U embossed on them!

pic of wheel? looks to me like the plastic tabs need to be forced through the centre hole usually with a heel of the hand wallop

The hole is just big enough for the cap to sit in, it looks like the lip with the holes in shouldnt be on....
I will try and get some more pics, but its a bit dark out now....
is there enough space for the outer lip between the wheel studs? it looks like they should go in far enough for the lip to sit flush to me?

I dont think so, the only way I can think is you take the wheel off and push them through from behind, but that doesnt sound right!
nah it cant be! which part of the cap is the same size as the hole in the wheel?

The central raised bit, the outside flat disc is just way too big!
yeah the outside disc goes flat to the wheel face imo!

Nothing will hold them on then though!

Looks like you do fit them from the back! How strange!
Surely not!? What will happen if you ever get a puncture and can't gain access to the wheel nuts to remove the wheel

They are centre caps, they don't cover the wheel nuts.

Have a look at this image David, they look to be held on from the outside. Think they push in like an O ring and the two holes in the outer black ring line up with two small holes on the rim (see bottom image). You can just about see them in the small creases starting from the centre.

Thanks Alan, got it - the wheels have tiny holes in, which you can hardly see... you offer the caps up and then screw them to the wheels.

I was totally stumped till you posted the pictures above :D
lol sorted in the end then!
