Hello,
I have one civic 2006 1800 c.c and it presents me with the following problem with the brakes:
when I am at a standstill waiting for the engine and I press the brake pedal permanently and as long as I exert force the pedal continues to go down and when I press the brake abruptly in motion it does not bone the vehicle and it lowers the pedal abruptly on the floor.

Sounds like a master cylinder issue.

Have you checked the brake fluid & made sure the cap is on tight.

Don't risk anything with brake, get it checked.
