Hi all

I am planning my Es 2.2 Nighthawk black to look like a type S with colour coded bodykit, with a FMIC and honda accord type R callipers.

I have already lowered the car with Eibachs 25mm and also had the brake lines changed to Goodridge S/S braided hoses. I have also had the front wheel FRS which makes the handling very good indeed compared to standard.

I have painted the calipers red and I have EBC GD discs on the rear, changed the rear splash guards to type S ones along with GS pads on front and rear.

I am currently working on the Accord type R caliper conversion. I have had the callipers and carriers grit blasted and purchased a seal kit for the calipers, so they will have a total refurb. I have purchased type R hubs for front offside and nearside and then altered the guards to fit the carrier and caliper. I have measured the clearnace on the hub as the accord type R discs are 300mm diameter and 28mm thick compared to the type R discs being 25mm thick.

Next step is to fit the new seals to the caliper and put the pistons back in. I will then prime the callipers and carriers and then spray paint them red.

I have also purchased the FMIC with a lot of help from Relic ( A big thank you to Relic), to fit in front of the rad on the car.

I have also bought the type S front lower spolier along with the sideskirts and lower spoiler and exhaust triangles. I just need the 4 wheel arches and then they are going to be colour coded.

I have also purchased the sports grill on the front and cut out the inside panels to allow air to cool the rad down. I have stripped the chrome mesh and will have that colour coded too. I am also working on the red backing on the honda logo so it looks a bit like a type R badge.

I have bought type S 17" wheels that I have upgraded from 16" standard ES wheels.

Here are photos of my car so far.

I am also going to change the fog lights to air intakes for the direct air feed to air box.

I will post pics of my project with pictures as I go along

My latest mods are the accord type R calipers with 300mm MTEC black finished disks and mintex pads along with the type S badge I purchased from big yaf. Here are the photos.

The braking is better already but I need to fit abs sensors that I purchased yesterday from breakeryard (as I destroyed the ones in the hub when I changed to type R hubs)so I will fit tomorrow or Sunday.

My next mods are to get my type S body kit all colour coded and then fit. Fit my front grill with colour coded surround with red Type R badge in the middle and also fit my FMIC. I need to sell my fog lights now in order to free up some cash for the fog air intakes to purchase the teiakwa fog inserts for the ram air.

Keep watching for more updates.

Here are the pics thus far :-

As you can see from the two photos on previous post that the discs are on wrong so I have changed them over. Note the slot orientation is scooping air in! This is wrong. Should be expelling air and gases out.

All changed now. Brakes are much better now that the abs sensor is working again.

The next step is fitting the intercooler along with the body kit and front grill.

Got my fog inserts from Honda today with the silver surround. I have recieved the 2.5" blue 2 ply pipe from ap motorstore along with the 3" to 2.5 " reducer.

I also recieved the alloy inlet air intake but the od is too big for the fog insert. I will look at machining an aluminium insert on a lathe that it is bolted on a pcd with countersunk bolts and nylock nut on back to secure to blank for pipe to clamp to.

It is my birthday coming up so I have asked my wife if I can have my type S body kit colour coded so that I can complete the second stage of my project = colour coded nhb type S bodykit, fmic intercooler with ramair to airbox. In which she said YES!!! Best wife in the world I say big kisses!!!

Stage 3 is to modify airbox like Relic and then stage 4 is upgrade my clutch and then egr delete remap.

Will keep you posted with pics when I undertake stage 2.

Stage 1 by the way was the atr caliper upgrade which I am happy with. The brakes are getting better all the time.;););)

Shame about the funnel mate.
Annoying when you get setbacks like that.

Update......

I have purchased yellow stuff atr pads and I have taken my type S bodykit for colour coding in NHB along with the sports grill surround that will also be sprayed NHB!

I am so excited cant wait now.

Will post pics before and after when it is done. Next stage is to get EBC gd atr discs on front and yellow stuff pads on rear. I will paint the hub part and outer edge in satin ht paint to get rid of the rust and also give the rear callipers a lick of paint to match with the front atr callipers.

;););) Update!! :popcorn2::popcorn2::popcorn2:

I finally fitted the FMIC, ramair and type S - Colour coded NHB body kit to the car along with type S front grill that was colour coded with the hond type R red badge.

The FMIC was a nightmare to fit!!!

I started 07:00 Saturday morning and then had to finish at 20:00 (yes working in the bloody dark!).

I then started at 08:00 this morning and finished at 13:00.

This was to do the whole lot.

I want to say a big thank you to Relic for helping me with the intercooler parts and also providing me with a length of 3" pipe. i would also like to say thank you to Mahooni for the rear wheel arches. Very kind you of you mate.

Here are some pics.

I just need to glue the rear arches in place and then get the gap filled in the door and rear arches.

looks spot on :) and with the FMIC in the grill makes it look even more agressive than a typeR
