HEL Brake Lines and Brake Line Kits

Ive ordered a set of lines from them on Monday. I'm not overly impressed with them so far.

Was just curious to see if anyone has experiences with ordering from them?

Just wanted to get some feedback on their delivery times, general customer service etc.

There customer service was good with me,not a probolem. I know HEL have had a backlog of connectors which may be holding things up as they are made up to order.

It hasn't even been a week, give them a chance.
Wasn't really talking about speed mate. A year or so ago it wouldnt have been a big deal waiting for a week or 2 for a package. However in this day an age, giving the customer speedy service and constant updates on order status is the defacto standard for todays e-commerce systems. I just wasnt getting it with these people. As far as I could tell I couldn't be sure my order was even acknowledged by them. Turns out it wasn't!

Monday:
Ordered the brake lines from Race-Lines
Tuesday:
Ordered Discs, Pads & Fluid from ebay
Wednesday:
Discs Arrived
Thursday:
Pads & Fluid Arrived
Saturday:
Emailed Race Lines to see what the status of the order was.
Replied a couple of hours later to say that the kit was sent on Wednesday, and "should be with you imminently"
Sunday:
Expecting the kit Mon/Tues given the email reply, I took my calipers off the car and painted them. So the paint would have time to dry before I fit them. Knowing I would be without the car for a day or so.
Tuesday:
Still not arrived, emailed Race-Lines to see what the story was.
Got reply saying my kit wasn't sent after all, it wasnt even created....so its being made and should be sent out tomorrow(expecting to get it thurs/fri)
Today:
Emailed back to say "thanks for the info, thurs/fri would be great"
Got a reply with further explanations of problems, and I wont get it till Saturday. If I don't get it for then I'll be forced to fit my brakes regardless of having the lines or not, given I am back at work Monday.

So car is sitting there not being able to move...I could fit the brakes again and bleed the system, but then I'll just be wasting money having to buy more fluid. Before the trolls hit....yes maybe I shouldn't have taken my brakes off before I got the kit, but given the information I had from the seller I considered it low risk at the time.

Although I can appreciate that some of you may have had good experiences here and some customers can fall through the cracks. All in all I have to report I have not had a very pleasant experience.

does seem like the fact they miss informed you originally has caused you a lot of grief :/

That's why personally i would always wait until recieved as you can never trust these people! All it takes is one ogre employee

Yep, in hindsight was not a very good move taking the sellers word on it. Live and learn I suppose.

I don't think Im being unreasonable in this instance. I do appreciate things go wrong. However a positive experience can still be had in a situation like this if it is handled correctly.

However it is the bad service or misinformation that causes the grief, and leaves the customer in an overall negative state about the transaction.
