Is the auto wipers “Rain sensor” all smoke and mirrors or is it actually a rain sensor? I notice there is a “Sensitivity” control which in other cars I’ve had is actually just an intermittent wiper variation control. In the Merc I had there was no such control. The rain sensor sensed the severity of the rain and automatically adjusted the intermittency as appropriate. I don’t see a need for this control if the Civic has the same ability. Yes it will start (and stop) the wipers if it senses rain but beyond that is it just a one dimensional “Its wet so start the wipers” function? If I don’t adjust the “Sensitivity” they don’t appear to keep up with the rain.
