Or for gains then try the tegiwa one. The HKS is great for noise but just done expect any gains.

I would say the K&N is of poor quality and not effective..

HKS Racing Suction kit is the best for sound and gives 7bhp ish gain.

Problem with dynos is they are normally done with bonnet open which doesnt give the true gains in real life. With open cones this often gives over-optimistic gains.

Dont get me wrong I actually owned a HKS previously and it fitted well and sounded great, but for NA tuning the concept is a bit flawed unless you can find a way to get a decent amount of colder air upto it.

You can feel the difference as it lagged if you were stuck in traffic from the heat soak. While running there is no problem

Avoid sponge type filters I found they dropped manifold pressure considerably

Best was oem or KnN type pleated filters
