Hey All,

It's been five days since I've taken delivery of my Milano Red 5 door 1.8 i-VTEC Civic.

Due to the lovely weather we're having in Scotland at the moment, my mods progress has been quite slow as I don't have a garage, so any and all work will need to be done outside :(

Also, I don't have any before pictures, so I'm going to post up what she looks like today and then list my short-term planned mods!

I'm on a tight budget because of Christmas/New Year and my daughters upcoming birthday, so I'm prioritising what I can and cannot do.

Anyway, firstly the pics (not my finest, again, due to the weather) .....

So, so far I've had the rear three windows tinted to 20% and added an i-VTEC sticker to the rear windscreen.

I've got a Civinfo sticker ready and waiting to go on, which I will position above the rear Honda badge, on the perspex windscreen.

I've also got this getting delivered on Monday .....

So that will be fitted hopefully the same day. I'm then planning on selling the perspex grille for a few quid to fund more mods! :)

My next two short term mods are a Type R spoiler and either fog blanks or DRL's.

Money is ready for the spoiler, it's just trying to find one!

On that note, just to check, I can definitely bond a Type R spoiler straight to the back of my car, will it fit etc?

If anyone has any 'cheap' suggestions of other mods, then I'm open to ideas.

I obviously want new alloys, I'm thinking 18", but due to the cost, not something I'll be able to do any time soon, even if I sell the current 16" ones.

I'm also planning on colour coding the grey trim to match the car, but again, due to costs, not something I'll be able to do any time soon.

I've seen a few threads on here where members have darkened/blackened their trim using a variety of methods....so I've been looking into that, just not sure how it would look.....

Anyway, that's me for now ....

Great stuff! nice and simple!

The grille will look the business when you've got it fitted! Perhaps a Type S rear spoiler too to be uber cool :D

I would also consider changing the dash for either a Type R one or at least carbon wrapped, that shiny stuff drives me mad! ha ha

Keep us updated

This is a 5 door, Type R/S skirts wont fit and have to be modified to go on. Even modified they leave a gap under the rear doors...

Maybe Si ones would be better ;)

Ooh, linky? :)

I am correct in saying that I can get the Type R spoiler bonded straight onto the back though without any major issues?
Buy a Type S one, its slightly thinner on the side profile but bolts straight on and you dont have to worry about bonding etc :D

There are three kinds of OEM spoiler, Type R, Type S and a very small runner across the rear shelf.

Im sure someone on here can post a pic of the difference, or you could use the search function.

Is the 5th picture with tints? How much did it cost for the lot, I have been thinking about it, mine is nhb, what about the Perspex part, seems this cannot be tinted, did you just leave it, how goes it look if you did?

Hi,

All pictures of the exterior will show the tints (20%). I got a deal through a mate, so it only cost £100, usually £125.

No, the perspex can't be tinted, at least not properly, so I'm ordering some fly eyes kit and going to put that over the perspex screen.

I'll be lucky if I can get either of the spoilers at the moment, seem like gold dust picking up a used one in milano red!

Mate pm coming your way ! I know someone who may have one available and in your colour :)

Am I right in saying that this should be fairly easy to fit with some Sikaflex?
