I have a 2007 Honda Civic 2.2 CDTI and both the low and high beam bulbs have gone.

After a bit of a struggle tonight I got into the buld underneath the coolant tank only to discover that its a H7 bulb when I had a H1 replacement.

I'm looking on FleaBay as I'm loathed to go to the high street and pay top end prices.

However, whilst looking on FleaBay I've noticed people selling H7 and H1 halogen and HID's for not much money.

I'm a virgin to replacing bulbs in the civic [gone seem to be the days of pushing a few clips to reveal the headlight and indicator bulbs] but I think I should be ok swapping them.

Can someone pick me out some cheap bulbs from eBay please and I'll replace both low and high beam bulbs? I don't know if I can fit HIDs without some sort of conversion kit but if I can then I think it might be a nice look [providing it doesn't make it look like a Chav-Mobile].

If anyone can give me some recommendations then it would be appreciated :D

Thanks for your replies.

I think my Civic is an S or an SE, not a Type S, all just standard.

At the moment ithas standard bulbs, not HIDs. Can I straight swap normal bulbs for the HIDs Mr JP sells without any type of conversion kit?

If so what do I need to buy, at the moment the drivers side low beam and high beam bulbs have gone leaving only the full beam bulb working on the drivers side.

Thanks again

Ok thanks for the advice.

Unfortunately funds don't permit me to go the whole hog and get the conversion kit.

Is there anything stopping me replacing my standard bulds with something like this - 55w XENON HEADLIGHT BULB SET HONDA Civic 06-on H7 H1 | eBay

If not then it seems fairly cheap in comparision to Halfords who seem to be charging about £9.99 for 1 standard replacement bulb.

If not then above link seems to be cheap and would allow me to change all my front bulbs.

Also, I've managed to locate my owners manual and its the drives side front low beam bulb and front position bulb that I need to change.

Thanks again :)

Seems very cheap for 2 H1 and 2 H7 bulbs, I would be wary of the quality. Also take a look at his feedback.
I would look at bulbs from Mr JP or Autobulbs Direct, using Civinfo discount.
