Am i right in thinking that the S2000 engine would drop straigh into the fn2.

Just throwing ideas around for a bit more power as there 250bhp as standard.

cheers

Better option is make a Frankenstein K20/K24 = 260BHP & 280nm = N/A rocket
This option is faster and cheaper and you would get better performance.

It would require a lot of work, but it can be done - Team Dynamics Civic's are running heavily modded cars with S2000 units, and I believe they are FF drives too :D

Nope sorry mate they are K series based engines built by Neil Brown engineering. Always have been.

Can I be even more picky, they won't actually make the 237BHP, few make 230BHP tops. Either way the F20C is a great unit.

aws just an idea, i had the same miunderstanding that the BTCC unit was an s200 engine...

Hmmmmmmm back to the drawing board then.

Was just talking to a mechanic mate, who said it should be possible and the s200 engine could be mated to FWD easily... ah well can dream..

Buy something else with the extra grunt as standard.

The cost of a major conversion will never be worth it and you'll have problems insuring and selling your 'prototype'.

Life's too short ;)

Mate of mine race's a K20'd EK4 Civic in the Nippon Challenge. Bored out to 2.2. It is detuned to 250bhp and lots of torque as competing in the GT250 class. They did want to see what it would go up to before they tuned it back down. 280 odd bhp.

If you are interested in tuning your K20 try ClockWiseMotion - Honda K20 tuning

Hope this helps

Pointless to put an S2000 engine in. They good engines but old technology. Does not have ivtec, only vtec. S2000 makes big power becuase they highly strung. K series can do alot better, if Honda tried.
