Hi everyone,

My local Honda dealer is having a bit of an event this weekend (Lookers, Nottingham), and I'm thinking of going along and having a test drive of an S2000, with a view to Part Ex'ing my CTR for one......providing I can find one (if I like it) thats decent and meant I would'nt have to part with much cash in exchange....if any!;)

Has anyone got/had an S2000, or wants to give me their 2 pennies worth about it??

9000 rpm ? yes please

much more lively then the CTR and definitely demands more respect especially on wet roads or it will bite (as i nearly found out on my test drive)

you should go for it :D although Honda are keeping tight lipped about what will happen too it next year so it may be replaced soon :(

Had one before my civic, only changed it because OH kept on moaning about the lack of space. To be honest it's not practical as an only car unless your free and single. It still puts a smile on my face just thinking about it, you'll never get tired of the Vtec kick. For more info try going to the forum for the car S2000 Forums -> UK S2000 Owners They're very helpful.

Good good, comments are great so far.....

Am I being realistic thinking though that I could possibly 'swap' my 07 plated CTR GT with Sat Nav etc in Bronze, without having to pay too much, if any, on top for a 3 or 4 year old mint S2000???

Be honest.....I can take it!!!:oops::oops:;)

Looking at the prices of used S2000's on the Honda website, I think you'll find you'll have to pay around £4k to change to a really good one.

Have you actually seen one you are interested in at Lookers?

They've only got one mate and thats on an 08 plate, and so is 20 odd grand!!!

Does look stunning in black though.....but I'm not shelling out too much for one....I've already changed my car twice in the last year, Focus ST - Mondeo ST - CTR GT!!!!!

Thats mega money ain't it for an S2000.....

Just posted a quick thread on the above mentioned S2000 owners site, and had two responses straight away stating that I've got no chance in going through with my 'idea' unless I'm willing to add about £4000 on top of my car!!!!:oops::(

Never mind then - looks like I'm stuck with the CTR for a little bit longer then don't it!

It's not a bad car to be stuck with though is it? :D

WOW!!!! What a place that is!!! Shame I live so far away or I'd be there tomorrow!!!

Look at that Mugen Factory one on their site.....now THATS cool!

Also, the prices don't seem nearly as frightening as the boys (and girls) on the S2000 Website had me believe....

The VTEC howl with the roof down is incredible. Definitely recommended

The car also came first in JD power surveys for a number of years
Your not making it any easier for me are you!!![smilie=cheeky-grin::D

For the time being, everyone, let me know if you just so happen to know a mate who wants to swap their S2000 for a gorgeous CTR Pearl Bronze Metallic!!

I've thought about that too....but just can't get over that people see them as a 'Poor Mans Porsche'....I also find them quite, dare I say it, 'basic' inside.....

I've thought about a Nissan 350Z Drop top too, but they are shockingly cheap feeling inside too.....

It's an S2000 or stick with the CTR for me I'm afraid.....
