Hi Guys,

Firstly, I have searched the forum and unfortunatley had no luck, so thought iI would try you Type R wizards on here

Ever since I've had my CW-Type R, it seems to make a screetching noise changing gear under hard driving.
This is upon releasing the clutch.

Now, I had the clutch, flywheel and clutch release bearing replaced under warrenty not long after I bought the car, but it has kept making this noise even after the work has been carried out.

Its perfect at all other times, just when driving hard.

Any suggestions?


Good news is, Tegiwa intake is now fitted.
Perfect investment is all i can say!

Hello mate. Mine is exactly the same... It is sort of the sound of a dump valve isn't it. But obviously it's not that lol.

I put it down the the pressure of vtec being released. But that is a wild guess. I hope somebody can help with this a bit more!

Vtec isn't a gas etc, it is an electro mechanical operation of the valvetrain in the engine to open the valves deeper

Yes, it was re-gassed on the same day i found my Honda pen In the secret tray under my passenger seat.

I found the clutch to be slow to release when changing gear quickly, they should of used a cable!

Is it the squeak from the master cylinder this happens when releasing the clutch very common and a known fault
