Not a fault as such but the warning light will come on. Easy enough to get it reset, pop down to a dealer.

Stops your seat getting whiplash! ?
I'm not sure about a civic but on my golf I unplugged the airbag and seatbelt sensors to remove a seat. The lights came on the dash but disappeared when I put it back. I don't think anything would need to be reset

I would disconnect the battery before unplugging the seat airbag. I had an intermittent fault on my passenger side once, luckily I had the HDS to diagnose where it was, dodgy connection gave the red light on the dash but reseating the plug solved the problem.
