Hi, first post, be nice please! I did search but couldn't find any matches for my question.

I've just bought a 57 plate 2.2 5-door, and the driver's seatbelt won't retract all the way. Any ideas if this is an easy fix, before I slam the door on it?!

Many thanks.

How annoying.

Perhaps it's retracted with a twist in it?

Try pulling it all out and hopefully it will clear the snag.

One trick I used to do, I put some of that cockpit spray on a sponge, I push the seat belt all the way out, and then I brush it on both sides of the belt with the sponge... I let the belt go in a bit and repeat the process, until all of the seat belt till the upper support is done...
The belt will pull much better after...

don't put the cockpit spray in the part of the belt that touch your clothes...
And make a test before on a small part of the belt to see if the belt doesn't get sticky or something...

Thanks both. I'm pretty sure there's no twist in it, but I do have some of that cockpit spray, so I'll try that tomorrow [smilie=coolup.gif]
