When I switch between the FM radio and CD from the wheel buttons, I have go through the MW and LW radio bands before I reach the CD.
Do anyone know a way to skip these? (Non satnav model if important).

A far too simple solution! [smilie=tongue.gif]
Yes, I want a more involved one, and one that works from the steering wheel!

step 1 - insert an ear plug into your left ear
step 2 - repeat process with right ear
step 3 - push button on steering wheel once
step 4 - repeat process. Please note: At stages 3 and 4, it is vital that you keep your eyes on the road, and do not in any circumstances look at the radio display.
step 5 - remove ear plug from left ear
step 6 - repeat process with right ear

sorted :D

Perhaps it would be safer to use the STEERING WHEEL volume controls rather than earplugs as the police may feel you are not in full control of your vehicle while inserting and removing earplugs!!!

I just have a thought, if this function was not implemented would someone have posted a thread "How to switch to Fm, Mw and Lw from the wheel buttons ?" ;-)

Personally, I would just use the CD/AUX & FM buttons on the headunit.

But if you really want to use the steering wheel controls, then 4 quick presses of the mode button gets you from FM to CD, and 1 or 2 presses gets you back from CD to FM (2 presses if you have a CD Changer or iPod connected to the CD changer socket)

If you press the buttons quickly enough you won't need to hear any MW & LW stations

No need to take your eyes of the road, or your hands of the wheel ;)

a quick google search should return many options - although I personally found this one quite interesting...

might also solve the "how do I plug my iPod into my Civic?" issue

Why don't they just do away with AM & LW ?

Anyone use them ?

Capital Gold is on AM but the quality is so bad I just don't bother.

Thanks for all the good suggestions, but I want two presses! ;)

I listen to Radio 5 constantly so shhhhhhhhh:D

I'm switch between stations (and CD) all the time - have no patience at all. Not even with the two extra presses to skip MV and LW [smilie=tongue.gif]
