Hi.
I have a 2006 1.8 es w/h a manual 6 speed. And only 37k on the ****.

Trouble is, I sometimes have trouble downshifting into second, it just has to be... Rammed in, if you get the gist?

Is this a real issue, do you think?
Or am I just being pedantic?

If it is a real issue, how much do you reckon a main dealer would charge to fix?

Hi,
I have that issue too.
Received a new gearbox , clutch, flywheel at 29.000Km after having problems engaging 1st gear. (warranty)
After that, I have some difficult to downshift to 2nd gear sometimes, as you described.
Now with 79.000Km, problem stills the same, as the dealers and Honda Portugal says i'm crazy and it's all ok for them. And they didn't care. (I have 1 more year of warranty left)
My advice, if the repair it's covered by Honda Uk, it's all fine. If not...well, If you want that solved you better have good mechanics in the dealer , or else you will throw your money into the garbage can.

it is a main issue...........well it was for me
i have posted the gearbox bulletins for this, a search should show them up!!

I've got this too. Bought the car when it was drived 63k. Noticed this downshifting problem couple weeks after the purchase. It does not occur every time when downshifting to second but is bit irritating especially when driving in the city.

Well, I've called the dealer, (who I have a warranty with!) and they're going to have a quick look tomorrow
