I have owned my Type R for just over a year now and in the last week I noticed it didn't feel quite right at speed. It felt ever so slightly unstable.

Anyway I put it down to tyre pressures, so I checked them and they were fine.

I gave it it's weekly wash yesterday and noticed that the drivers side rear was slightly lower than the rest of the car. I got underneith and noticed that one of the coils has snapped off the spring!

I was going to go for a set of Teins anyway but I wondered if this has happened to anyone else?

Thanks for the offer but i'm going to upgrade to Teins and lower it a little. Not so sure I trust the factory springs now.

The warranty has run out as far as I know? It's an 08 plate.

Not heard it on a Civic before but it has happened to my brother in laws car and also my Dads.

Definitely a good excuse to change though, you will not be disappointed with the Teins, I have been extremely pleased with them :D

I'll go to Honda on Monday and see what they say about it. Thanks for the advice.

I'll also get some Tein S-tech's ordered, think they are about £150 on ebay.
