I would like to change the front and rear speakers of my civic 2007 ex 5 dr to a new set of 6.5".
Does anybody know if the adapters required for both front and rear are the sak-2902 or do i need some other ones for the rear door?

You can get a nice set of MDF ones from ebay(company called liquidice) that will do both front and rear and are only £6.99 each.

Which thickness is better? I take it the thicker the better or is it something to do with the fit? Also can I ask what sealant u used?
