Hi All,

Hope you all had a great Xmas and wishing you a happy new year !

So, went to work early yesterday morning, arrived at work as I was slowing I could feel the car was slowing more than normal and also it didn't free wheel into my space to park.

I could feel the rear was biting on a little, after inspection it's the drivers side rear caliper, I sprayed some wd40 at it and it seems to be free now, the wheel spins freely, but it's intermittent working I feel and not working as it should.

Is there anything I can do myself without bleeding the brakes ? Is there anything I can strip down and copper slip etc to hopefully free it back up ?

I'm pretty mechanical so can strip it down but not bled brakes ?

If I needed a new one could I put mole grips on the flexi brake hose that connects it and get away without re bleeding the system ?

If anyone can help I would be grateful

Thanks again

Callipers binding is pretty common and easily fixed.

Pop off the wheel and calliper then clean the slider pins and pad guides.

Apply high temp lube to the pins and guides before reassembly.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
