hi i decided to get rid of my old perspex grill and replace it with the type r grill for a nicer look. i was following a guide on here but had 3 up just to check everything. but im stuck.
the 2 clips holdings the perspex grill in at the bottom of the grill where you have to slide your hand in with a pair of pliars to release the clip i cant seem to do. on the top 2 it was easy but the bottom 2 are slightly different and i dont know where ive gotta push down on to release it. any help?
thanks.
had to put it all back together with the perspex grill not to happy :( ha

I changed mine a few weeks back, I take it you didn't take your front bumper off. I squirted some WD40 on the 4 clips and on the bracket that attachs it to front dumped to make everything a bit more slippery, then if I remember rightly I ended up using my fingers instead of pliers to squeeze the clip (you can feel how the clip works a bit better) I think they are up side down compared to the top two. When fitting the new grille I tucked the lip at the bottom of the grille under the bumper first then attached bottom two clips then top two. hope this helps mate:popcorn2: keep us posted!

The amount of time you have wasted squeezing your hands in, cutting your fingers, swearing, throwing the tools about and walking away to calm down you could just drop the front bumper at one side to get in to the grille no probs.:D:D:D

Won't the bits that the new grill needs to clip in break at the same time? Looks like they're both just made of plastic?
depends how cold the plastic is at the time, the colder it is the more brittle it can be....

I did this but didn't manage to get the bumper back on properly.. still haven't! It's not a huge issue, I suppose as I do plan to colour code early next year.

Just pull on it if you really want to break it, shouldn't take too much force. I changed mine a while ago, tried to do it carefully but they still broke.
Same. Although they aren't exactly worth much.
