Supercharger development work at TDi North

We have been carrying out development of various supercharger kits and setups for a number of months now with increasing success specifically the constant displacement chargers (Non Rotrex based) through improvements to the airflow at the intake through porting of the mouth of the charger and improvements to the manifolds that are supplied with the kits.

We have reached a point where the cars are developing really good torque low down that we have been forced to look at a way to effectively “De-tune” the car to give better traction in lower grip conditions, and for the drag racers amongst us allow better control for launching. The result is very simplistic in its function but allows us to control the boost in each gear or more like “Un-boost” control

We have had this system running for some time on K20 setups running Hondata Kpro/K100 setups but can now offer it for the FN2/FD2 Flashpro users.

Development on the FN2/FD2 solution has taken some time as even Hondata weren’t aware of the limitations of the Euro ECU so the result was to obtain and convert a US Si ECU and a trip to Honda UK to try and configure the coding to allow us to run the car correctly.

Big thanks to Tim for the loan of the car and to Honda UK for again opening your doors to us to help push the boundaries and Chris (AKA CivicRSA)

The dyno chart attached shows the car running with the boost control turned off and hitting 9PSI
The dotted line is with the boost limiter set and hitting 4PSI

Good idea but I would rather use my feet to limit the rate at which the car is applying its power to stop wheelspin ;)

Any updates on an intercooler for the CT chargers?

There is something that I haven't got clear: What will you lose if you use a FlashPro MAP calibration?

trip computer/fuel gauge!
So I will have no info about how much fuel do I have?
or
I will just lose the litre/km measure + remaining miles before refueling?

I don't care if it's the second case... but if it's the first one... :(

Thanks ;)

I got by the miles on the trip, £20 = 90 miles :)

You can use the same output ;)
Just run it at 100% when you want it activated.

Downside is you need a US Si ECU. Plus side is you can get them cheap and still use the Euro flashpro.
Think the US Flashpro was locked to only USDM ECUs and cheaper but they never realised that the International Flashpro could access all versions ;)
Could be worth purchasing a US flashpro and ECU if the price is right.

Those are some really good improvements, well done all at TDI. Is the service only for those with CT or JRSC as well?

Can you PLEASE stop doing such great development work on this engine please Paul? You're gonna bankrupt quite a few of us at this rate...
