Grab a cup of tea and have a watch of this little creation from Reelmotion Dave. It's about the journey of taking an NA Honda Integra DC5 and carrying out a full Turbo conversion.

The video doesn't tell the whole stoy of how the car came in with the intention of running a front mount intercooler and upon detailed inspection we deceided last minute to go for a charge cooler setup we had been testing on the FN2's which had never been done before as we generally don't like cutting peoples bodywork about and relocating everything on a road car.
This story takes us through construction and installation of this setup while we are actually doing it.




(And keep your eyes open for "Fat Lou" :lol:)

I really love this video... amazing how a customer can actually say he has a target of 350bhp and you can actually make 350.0. Is this just a one off or is the software, equipment and tuning that good these days you can actually pick your power. obviously within the tollerances of the engines supporting modifications.

I have recently changed my car to a Ek with a b18c4 but was thinking of going to ricky for a turbo but i might have to email you for information and a price on doing it for me. I was hoping to get around 300bhp on mine its done 76k and runs really nice do you think this is possible as a daily driver. i have read alot of forums but its mixed reviews some claim 450bhp factory engine and some claim 280ish is the most safe ect.. I want 300bhp no less but not much more if you get me its more so i can have bragging rights that i have made 300bhp.

It actually made 350 on that run when the camera was on it thats why the shocked face. We filmed several runs and all were around that with about 0.5 each way so guess he used the one he wanted.
The car stuff was all done some weeks before the actual talking bit was done with me and the video crew but we were looking for 350 at 9PSI originally as a target and to run at 400 on high boost setting which we also managed.

Basically there is no such thing as a safe limit. If you want to keep it safe you keep it standard.

We can hit 300 on a stock B18 and am happy to run that level as long as the motors in good condition but it also depends on efficiency of the kit.

Might not be safe but sure is reliable!!!

My ENGINE hasn't missed a beat since fitting the charger mwaha! - Can't wait for my turbo :cool:

Lovely Video.

Just out of curiosity why such a big price difference between the EP3/DC5 turbo kits and the FN2? excuse my ignorance if it is glaringly obvious.

@FrankstaH, mate will you be shifting your Rotrex when you go turbo?
