First of all, I have been posting on here for a while now, but I am also an Events Organiser on Type-R-Owners.co.uk.

Paul at Tdi-North has kindly agreed to host a Dyno Day for us on Saturday 30th October starting at 9:30am and I thought I should spread the word a bit wider to see if there is any interest on this forum. ;)

The Dyno Day is open to all classes of cars, i.e. FWD, RWD and 4WD, and any make!

Paul has offered us a rate of £35 per car, which will include two power runs and a print out of what figures your car has achieved.

I will be taking payments and paying Paul on the day as it saves time and makes the day run smoother. If you would like to attend please PM me and I will send you details of how to make payment.

I have been keeping a running list of attendees and payments made on this thread here on Type-R-Owners: Type R Owners Forums

I'll not be awkward and say you need to sign up if you don't want but I will put your name up in the OP and which forum you have messaged me from.

Spaces will be limited as we have been told to expect to realistically expect to do 2-3 cars per hour.

If we get a good attendence and there is a demand, I could run this as a bi/annual event.

TDi-North is just off Junction 21 of the M6, Click here for Google Maps or Click here for Street View

If you get peckish while we are there, Paul has told me about a Pub round the corner called the Mascrat which does 2 for £10. The Mascrat Pub is found here using Google Maps or here using Street View.

Due to set-up times when changing from one drivetrain or model of car to another we will try and group the different types of cars together. It will just make it quicker to get the cars on and off the rollers. So please state on the list what car you will be bringing.

This will be a easy going sort of event, where you can come and say hello to fellow enthusiasts and have a look at each other's cars etc. and see the set-up at TDi-North!

If you are not familiar with TDi-North just have a search on this forum. They have an area in the Traders Section and they are very highly regarded Honda tuners. TDI North - Civinfo

Cheers,
John

Just to give a bit of an update.

As I said in the OP, Paul has said he can do around 2-3 cars an hour. I have PM'd him this afternoon, so should get a response tomorrow, asking what is the maximum number of cars we can bring. We currently have 14 cars on the list.

When we reach the number that Paul states, I will start a reserve list for those who haven't got their names down yet.

Around a week before we go, I will then start offering those people on the reserve list a place if I haven't had payments from those on the original list. This seems the fairest way to do it in my mind!

I will PM those who may be getting bumped before they do to give them the chance to pay up!

Just a quick update really. Had some PMs from Lou at TDi and they will be able to do a maximum of 20 cars. We currently have 15 on the list.

Once I get a list of 20 cars I will start a reserve list in case anyone drops out.

Lou has also said if we get some more confirmed slots (I take this as paid) he can organise for a burger van to attend! [smilie=gt-happyup.: :popcorn2:

List is full now, need people to start confirming and sending over monies.

PM me if you want payment details etc or if you need to let me know you aren't attending! ;)

Anyone else asking now will be going on the reserve list.

I'd like to attend, but I won't be on the dyno as my car went on the last TDI run :).
Excellent, there is a list for "Attending but not having a run"! [smilie=gt-happyup.:

Looks like we are going to have a really good crowd for this.

We've got more than 20 cars in the dyno run list. Some may or may not drop out, but it will still be a good number.

Plus half a dozen just coming along. :D

We've also got a chap from Type R Owners who is going to record the whole event in HD cam and then edit a DVD. :popcorn2:

By all means adam1985, come along!

The first cars will be arriving at 9.30am, I'll be there probably from about 8.45am. There are 20 cars on the list which should take about 6-7 hours to get all the runs done!

Pop up any time you can!

I know a few people are registered on several forums so just in case they are following this thread on here...

I have been asked over on the CTRO thread if everyone who is having a run needs to turn up at 9.30am, because if they only get on the rollers late in the day it is a lot of waiting about.

You can come at 9.30, not a problem, but if you don't want to be there all day I am going to make up a running order.

I've been holding off to give people chance to pay and confirm they are coming. If I give slots to people in the morning and they've not let me know that they aren't coming, we'll be waiting with no-one on the rollers for people to turn up in the afternoon if you get my drift?!

Those who have paid or have sent payment and it is clearing etc, if you want to give me a preference of am or pm, I'll make up the running order on Monday fitting everyone in as best I can. Those who haven't paid will have to go at the end so if they are a no-show then no-one is getting held up.

Seems the fairest way to do it.

I'll then post up the list on Monday evening.

There are 16 people on the list for Dyno runs, 11 of which are paid and confirmed. Paul has said we can realistically do 20 cars on the day, so if you want to come and haven't put your name down yet, then post on here and send me a PM for the payment details.

11 people on the list for just coming along and saying Hi so there should be a good few of us there! :D

7 days to go! :popcorn2:

Running order then.

The day starts at 9.30 and Paul said we can do about 3 cars an hour, so on this list I reckon Shaenei should be on the rollers when the clock strikes 12 noon.

1. scotstaff (TRO) - Suzuki Swift [Paid]
2. Dubbz's mate (CTRO) - Fiesta ST [Paid]
3. Loxy (TRO) - FN2 CTR [Paid]
4. Omi (CTRO) - FN2 CTR [PM'd Loxy re Payment]
5. DEZIBOY (TRO) - S/C FN2 CTR [Paid]
6. ALEX (TRO) - DC2 ITR [Paid]
7. Night Hawk Ben (CTRO) - EP3 CTR [Paid]
8. Shaenei (TRO) - EP3 CTR [Paid]
9. sr-25 (TRO) - EP3 CTR [Paid]
10. V-TEC (TRO) - EP3 CTR [Paid]
11. EP3_Foolserrand (TRO) - EP3 CTR [PM'd Loxy re Payment]
12. scotstaff (TRO) - EP3 CTR [Paid]
13. M11JY X (CTRO) - EP3 CTR
14. Mr_kai (CTRO) - EP3 CTR
15. jreedy (CTRO) - S/C EP3 CTR
16. brenscivic (CTRO) - S/C EP3 CTR

I've grouped all of the same types of cars together at Paul's request as it is quicker getting the same model of cars on and off the rollers as it is set up the same. I've also taken everyone's requests for AM or PM runs into consideration.

I have also put the people who haven't yet paid at the end in case they are no shows and then those who have paid do not get held up. If they pay in the mean time I can juggle the order a bit bearing in mind the EP3 need to go on as a group. Those who haven't paid before the day will have to see Paul before they go on the rollers and give Paul some reddies! :p

When you turn up come and find me and I will give you a paper to put on your dash with your username and run order place. If you have paid it will say PAID, so it will show Paul who has paid so no-one sneaks on the rollers without coughing up!

I've posted on here so those who have said they might attend to watch can see who's going, and I know some people like Deziboy usually post on here rather than other sites. I've just put the forum where they contacted me through on the list.

These people have said they are coming to watch so far, but by all means please come along to say hi if you aren't on the list! :)

1. wilkco1 (TRO)

8. adam1985 (Civinfo)

Just got back, spent ages speaking with Paul and Funky afterwards!

Paul has asked that, just to be sure he has your email address so he can mail over the Dyno plots, can you please email your registration number to [email protected] and he will email it back.

Big thanks to Paul and the boys, top day.

There were 22 cars on the rollers, including a mental 657bhp Skyline!

Cracking to meet everyone and sorry if I didn't get to see you to say hi!
