After a successful campaign in 2009 where we won the FWD class in our Supercharged EP3 Type-R last year we have transferred the parts from the silver car into a fully caged/welded newer chassis for 2010

Vistors to our workshop over the past few months would have seen the car sitting in the corner surrounded by piles of parts, well it was a mad last minute rush to get everything together for the first round at Oulton park last Saturday.

To say last minute would be an understatement. We had all the regular work in as per normal but in 12 days we put in an extra 100 hours when we were finished on customers cars to get this ready in time.

Due to commitments shifting for me I'm not driving it this year but am still supporting the car at the track and doing the development work on it.
The Driver is Dave Thorpe is a good friend who I have raced with the last couple of years and is preparing his car for next year so was without a drive.

The car basically came off the dyno at 2am on race day, Dave jumped in it for the first time ever and we went for a quick shake down to make sure nothing dropped off round the block then loaded it onto the trailer and went directly to the track.

We had a pretty good day considering. we were struggling with brakes most of the day where under heavy braking the back wheels were actually lifting off the ground!
Its a whole new system this year with teh ABS removed, hard piped with bias valve on-top of totally new suspension setup so with a bit more tracktime and preparation we anticipate a good year.

We did well considering with a 2nd place, and also had a good result with Julian’s car which is prepped by Unit 8 which I also mapped.

I remember seeing it when you were getting the bits ready.

Looks excellent and I had to giggle when you mentioned the back wheels lifting due to the braking - cracking work guys, well done.

Specs are pretty much the same as last years car as featured in Jap Performance last month.
Will post more details when I get the chance.

Wheels are 8" wide and we are running 225 17's.
