Hi folks,

Winter will be gone soon, so time to change the tyres soon. What is the best choice for a set of summer tyres in terms of road noise and comfort (my priorities for the summer season)? The car is Civic 1.8 sport, 205/55/R16

See my post on 18" :) KU39s are £52 for your size.

I was so delighted I fitted some 205/55 R16s Kumho KU31s to the front of my wife's car. Again excellent results, very quiet she has Continentals on the back and you can hear and feel the difference in ride quality front to back and @ £48 each a bargain t'boot.

I've tried Goodyear, Continental, Vredstiens, Pirelli, and Michelin. Had 225/40 18 Continental Contact 3s on last quiet, but poor ride quality on 40 profile, might be better on your 55s.
FYI Kumho make road, track day and full race tyres, that's good enough for me.
