Out of garage, washed (well dusted really) and vacuumed, back in garage getting dusty.

...and did the washer fluid cap cable tie ploy to avoid losing it.

Mine had a good going over yesterday as well, and it's raining now, but mine's tucked up in the garage.

Once washed and dried I really rate that Mantis Instant Shine. It can be sprayed anywhere, no residue, no marking on the wheel arches for example and it leaves that slippy surface as per waxes and it's really quick.

Final job today is a good glass clean with 'Invisible Glass with rain repellent'.

I can do that in the garage though.

Charged it on the CTEK for 12hrs yesterday.

If it's lucky it may get a run next week to blow the dust off.

Boxed up the Nextbase 402G and fitted a Nextbase 412GW.

Better specs all round, and a quick release mount to save messing with the power lead.

Took dust sheet off. Washed it from Winter use in garage.

Pulled car onto drive, checked tyre pressures, only needed 0.5 psi all round, used Mantis wash & wax to put the slippery paint finish back, pulled back into garage.

Dust sheet aired and dried and put back on.

Job done.

2013 I did 11k, since then it's 2k a year just pottering about and hols. Spends most time in a heated, dehumidified garage under a dust sheet.

Battery gets charged weekly via a CTEK so it's fine.

My pressure gauge is a solid metal standalone digital job. Had it years. Was quite expensive when I got it.

I do keep a check on the tyres, as you say, they can degrade. First sign is usually sidewall cracks that so far they haven't got.

Just had a surf around and the advice from most, including Honest John is 10 years max for low mileage tyres.

The main factor seems to be exposure to the sun which mine don't get in the garage.

That could be why Spain MOT will fail tyres over 4 years old.

Looking at the forecast for the next few weeks, whilst I'm out and about in it, mine will need a proper wash in a fortnight.

My neighbour is a heavy smoker and the loft was starting to smell of stale smoke.

I put a bottle of cheapo 40p white vinegar into a used Ariel pod container, lid open, and within 24hrs the smell had gone.

I leave it up there now, top it up every 6 months and no more smell.

Washed her off and tucked her back in her bed... night Betty.
I do like that car cover.

I'm using a couple of old bed sheets sewn together.

The ones I see online are either elasticated, outdoor or mega expensive. I just want an indoor one that fits but just drapes over.

Something has gone strange on here
A member posted a picture of some rear strakes and said he had some spare the post and my reply have vanished
Either he needs to post in the 'For Sale' or you need to post in the 'Wanted' section.

Trading in other sections is removed when spotted / reported

I agree that this was an innocent comment that progressed into a trade.

So 'today' I loaded the car up for a tip run given the roads are dry.

First time it's seen the light of day since mid September.

5 miles each way and the car is driving like a dream, no rattles, no nothing.

Mind you, at only 17.5k on the clock it should do. Service due mext month.
